Key Information Documents (KIDS) for Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (PRIIPs)
These documents are PDF files.
The European Union ("EU") regulation No. 1286/2014 ("PRIIPS legislation") is in force since January 1st, 2018. This regulation requires the development and distribution of key information documents (KIDs) for packaged retail and insurance-based investment products (PRIIPs) to the extent the PRIIPs are made available to retail investors in the EU. For the purpose of this legislation, the options and futures products listed on Bourse de Montréal ("MX") are considered PRIIPs.
As a result, MX has prepared various types of KIDs to meet its obligations under the PRIIPs legislation: some KIDs are product-specific, while others are by asset class.
