2022 Protocol Upgrade Reminder

Pursuant Technical notice 22-006, Montreal Exchange wishes to remind that the new protocols will be in production for the business day of November 14th 2022.

Additional details:

• The business day of November 14th, starts at the opening of the markets on Sunday November 13th.

• All the new protocols upgrades are now present in the General Test Environment 1 (GTE1)

• Participants using the FIX protocols and wishing to use the new F1 version, need to contact the Derivatives Technical Operations to make sure they update the version of the protocol configured on the different FIX sessions used.

• The new versions of the market feeds will be made available to all participants that are currently subscribed to the OBF and HSVF feeds, via the same IP addresses that are authorized, if you need new authorizations, please enter your request via the Axis client portal. If you don't have access to the portal, please reach out to the Derivatives Technical Operations.

Important message regarding the protocol upgrade.

• Please be aware that the new market order (Multi Price that chases) is till pending regulatory approval will not be available for the launch, a future date will be communicated.

• The Intent to cross flag will be mandatory on January 1st 2023

• There will be a network testing period of 2 hours on Saturday November 12th from 10 am (Eastern Time) to 12h, where you will be able to test the connectivity to the new feeds.

We would also like to remind the participants that the certification for the new order entry protocol SAIL and FIX is mandatory in order to upgrade. The Market feeds protocol and their retransmissions are not certified.
